Iain Harley
Department of Physical Chemistry of Polymers
Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research
Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research
Main Focus
Iain's research utilises the institute's new cryo-electron microscope (cryo-EM) to investigate and characterise polymer systems. His work also encompasses cryo-EM method development from sample vitrification to data collection and analysis.
Curriculum Vitae
Iain graduated with a BSc in physics in 2019 from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Continuing at Strathclyde he followed his BSc with an MSc in Nanoscience, with a focus on super-resolution optical microscopy, graduating with distinction in 2020. In December 2020, he joined the Department of Physical Chemistry of Polymers at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research as a PhD researcher as part of the Marie Curie ITN, SuperCol.
