Association for the Advancement of Polymer Research Mainz

About us

The Association for the Advancement of Polymer Research Mainz (Verein zur Förderung der Polymerforschung – Mainz e.V. or Förderverein) was established in Mainz as a non-profit association in 2002. The association altruistically supports the science, research and teaching of the chemistry, physics and biology of polymer materials.

The Förderverein connects active and former MPI-P employees of all ages and all nationalities. Research and industry professionals as well as partners from other institutions benefit from the Förderverein as an information exchange platform.

Membership requirements

Everyone who is working or worked at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz - no matter whether as scientist, technician or administrative staff - or who wishes to actively support polymer research in Mainz may become a member. 
The annual membership fee in the Förderverein is 50 Euro. PhD students graduating from the MPI-P receive a free one-year membership starting with the date of their graduation.
